The historic and outdated Carlton Hotel building will be replaced by a new mixed-use building with new hotel rooms, residential units, commercial and public spaces. The design is part of the overall urban concept that cancels the underpass highway for the benefit of a pedestrian and bike friendly, commercially active street, connecting Atarim Square to HaAtzmaut Garden.
